Catch Up

So I realized last night when I had my urge to do some blogging that the reason that I never actually blog anything is because I see how outdated my blog is and so I decide to do a new background and then I have to change the colors of the text to match and by the time I am done with that I don't feel like doing it any more. So here we go with some catch up.

Ok first things first Scott joined the National Guard! I am so proud of him! He was sworn in on May 19th 2011. It was a neat experience to see him be sworn in! Scott goes to drill every month, usually on the fourth weekend, he spends all day Saturday and just a little bit of Sunday up in St. Joe. He leaves for basic training on November 14th, for Fort Leonard Wood MO. I am going to miss him so much! I know that Addison will miss him too, it breaks my heart to think about how hard it will be for her, she loves her daddy. After basic Scott will be going to Georgia, Fort Gordon, for his AIT and will be there for 6 months. Since AIT is so long I might be able to move there with him!

This is old new (I guess everything is old news) but we had a new addition! Benny is now four months! I can't believe he is already that old! He is a happy little butter ball and is very quick to smile a everyone. The only time he gets upset is if I don't get his food fast enough!

And now onto Addison. She is a wonderful sister who loves her brother. She is always trying to help me by holding Benny's bottle in his mouth, and likes to say "I hewping mommy! I hewping!" I love that she wants to help but get a little frustrated when she doesn't realize how hard she is pushing it into his mouth. She is already in her terrible twos (which started when Benny was born). I don't know what to do when she wont listen, needless to say I have found out that time out is a wonderful thing. Addison has successfully figured out how to do the eye roll! I couldn't believe it! I was telling her something (probably getting after her for something) and she totally rolled her eyes at me! I couldn't believe it! I thought that wasn't supposed to start until the teen years!
Addison loves to make us laugh and does it often. She loves to sing popcorn popping, twinkle twinkle little star, itsy bitsy spider and sunshine. She is always talking, talking talking! I love it!

We had visitors this summer! Kayla and Abe and their three little girls came to visit us! It was so much fun to spend time with them (stay up until after midnight playing Conduit 2) and get to know their girls better!

As for me I am loving being at home and spending all my time with Addison and Benny (even though I do enjoy it when they are both taking naps!). I am just enjoying the time we have together we have as a family before Scott leaves (I try not to think about it). I am recommitting to blogging. I want to do it more often, just don't hold it against me if I don't blog weekly!
